Retirement is not a word you will find in Dr. Anne C. Buffinga-Sidnam’s vocabulary anytime soon. That’s because at age 94, Sidnam continues to offer chiropractic services to those that are in need; she also still paints, draws, loves making rock sculptures and recently had her treasured book, “Secrets Unravel,” published along with “A Lifetime of Poetic Thoughts.”
“I sent out a letter in 1989 telling everyone that I was retiring,” said Sidnam, a Cascade Township (near Grand Rapids) native. “But people would still come to visit and need help. It didn’t matter if they were in their nightshirts or on Sundays, if they couldn’t get in to see their doctor they came to me.”That's because at age 94, Sidnam continues to offer chiropractic services to those that are in need; she also still paints, draws, loves making rock sculptures and recently had her treasured book, “Secrets Unravel,” published along with “A Lifetime of Poetic Thoughts.”
