
The Xterra Auckland Trail Running Series for 2012 is well under way, with about 800 athletes preparing to race in the mud next weekend in the third event of the series at Woodhill Forrest.
James Kuegler realised a long-held goal in 2010 when he won the series.
The Aucklander is an athlete, coach and chiropractic intern.
He will be at the course next Sunday offering chiropractic advice for the field of weekend warriors.
The 24-year-old, who is caring for patients in the New Zealand College of Chiropractic, plans to talk to people about the benefits of having a fully functioning spine and nervous system.
