Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson and the city's Department of Parks, Recreation and Enrichment launched an after school exercise and nutrition program that starts Wednesday. PAUL CHAPLIN, The Patriot-News Thompson launched the Ironkid Challenge after-school program Monday at the Ben Franklin School, inviting students and families to participate in exercise and nutritional guidance activities from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Wednesday.
The free program will run through May 31 at Ben Franklin and the Marshall School.
Students and their family members will exercise, log their progress, receive nutritional guidance and weigh in at the end of each month to measure their weight and body mass index.
